Perel contributes to Chicken Soup

Saralee Perel is currently represented by NYC agent Bob Mecoy for her first non-fiction book, The Dog Who Walked Me, which is about her dog who became her caregiver after Saralee suffered a major spinal cord injury, the devastating effects on her marriage, and her cat who kept her sane throughout.

Saralee is a nationally syndicated columnist and a regular columnist for the Cape Cod Times where her columns can be found at capecodonline.com/perel. She has become a frequent contributor to the insanely popular Funny Times magazine. Her story: “Bob’s Garden: An Exercise in Fruitility” will appear in their May issue. “I’d Hate to be a Man” is in their current issue.

Saralee is honored to be a regular essayist for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. See her latest on how her husband commented on her weight gain and lived to tell the story here. Or see her permanent page for all of her essays on the Foundation’s site here.

She will have her story, “Bob is On a Diet” in the upcoming book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You as well as several stories in the upcoming book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Family Matters. Saralee has two stories in their current book: Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom.

She was thrilled to have the Cape Cod Times recently run a terrific feature in their Sunday Book section primarily focused on her many contributions to Chicken Soup for the Soul as well as a profile of Saralee the writer. If you’d like to see it, you can click here
