Writing coach and author Paula LaRocque has announced to Facebook friends that she has sold her first novel, a mystery titled Chalk Line.
“My career has been in nonfiction–I published three nonfiction books (you can see them on my website www.paulalarocque.com , but had this yen … ” she said.
The publisher is Marion Street Press. Inc.,which published LaRocque’s other books and in the past has dealt only in nonfiction. “But MSP plans to create a new imprint, Marion Street Mysteries, and Chalk Line will debut in September 2011,” she said.
LaRocque was a speaker at the 2005 NSNC Conference in Grapevine, Texas, and the 2007 Will Rogers Writers’ Workshop in Oklahoma City.
