New Book for California Columnist

Gayle Carline, NSNC member, writes to us to say: “I wanted to let you know about my very first book of humor columns that were previously published in my newspaper, the Placentia News-Times.” Gayle has been writing for the newspaper since 2005, and has put out a book of her experiences as a columnist, woven around some of her favorite columns.

Gayle adds, “My humor is much like Erma Bombeck, so my book’s title is “What Would Erma Do? Confessions of a First Time Humor Columnist.” It’s available on Amazon (paperback and Kindle) and on Smashwords in other e-reader formats.

By the way, we found out on Gayle’s website that Placentia is not another name for “afterbirth”.  It is a Spanish word, meaning “pleasant place.” Are you as relieved as we are? Placentia is one of those little cities in Orange County that is just to the south of Los Angeles. Yes, in case you are wondering, it is close to Disneyland.
