The passing of Richard Des Ruisseaux of Taylorsville, Kentucky leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 14, 2025.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert and Ruth; his wife Susan; his son Douglas; his daughter-in-law Jess; his siblings-in-law, Ann and Rob (Barbara); his grandchildren, Cayman, Julia, Ian, Cali, Conrad and Hudson; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Pharaoh.

Richard, or “Des” as many in the NSNC called him, was a faithful member and founding pillar of the organization for many years. In 2011, Richard was honored with the NSNC Legacy Award.
Richard was a charter NSNC member, and he served as NSNC president for a decade or more before the every two-year rotation began in 1990.
