Members Only Event: Press Flix Movie Night

NSNC is always looking for new ways to help its members connect with fellow scribes. With this in mind, we’re happy to introduce Press Flix! Using Netflix, we’re able to create a virtual movie party. Every month, we’ll screen a different journo-centric movie that reinforces the vital role the Fourth Estate plays within society. 

We’ll launch Press Flix on September 12 at 7 p.m. We’ll screen Spotlight, a 2015 movie starring Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, and Liev Schreiber that tells the story of the Boston Globe’s Spotlight investigative-journalism unit as it unearths the Boston Catholic Archdiocese’s sex-abuse scandal. Spotlight’s work earned the Globe the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, but glory was never the goal. Quality journalism catalyzes societal change, improves lives, and helps us foster empathy and our common humanity.
