National Society of Newspaper Columnists and Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation to Join Forces on April 18

April 18th marks National Columnists’ Day and Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day, which were founded in memory of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Ernie Pyle. Pyle, an American journalist and war correspondent, who was killed during World War II, became best known for everyday stories about American soldiers during the war.

National Society of Newspaper Columnists and Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation and will join with columnists across the globe on April 18 to honor the accomplishments of Pulitzer-Prize winning war correspondent Ernie Pyle and all those dedicated to column-writing today.
