Telly Halkias is a columnist, features writer and drama critic for newspapers in New England and New York, including the Berkshire Eagle and the Bangor Daily News. His work on the performing and visual arts and culture has appeared nationally in publications of Gannett and Media News Group/Digital First Media. Telly’s self-syndicated human interest column, “From The Stacks,” which ran weekly from 2004-2014, earned three regional press awards for the Bennington Banner, and one national press award for the Portland Daily Sun. Telly lives and writes from his homes in Vermont and Maine, and is also a longtime teacher of college literature, communications, history, and religion courses.
